Gloucester Light Infantry participates in 18th century
battle re-enactments, parades, historical events, and
various civic functions. The unit is based out of
Gloucester, Rhode Island but events are not limited to
the state of Rhode Island. The company does travel
out of state for several events a year. Gloucester Light

Musketmen, Artillerymen, and the Color Guard.

participation in both the militia and fife & drum corps.
The fife & drum corps is a new addition to
Gloucester Light Infantry and is seeking enlistees over
the age of 16 for the fife and drum. Enlistees of all
skill levels welcome. Music instruction will be
provided on a weekly basis for all members. Children
under the age of 16 are welcome with parent
participation in the unit.

As a member of Gloucester Light Infantry it would
give you a chance to many friends and meet many
dignitaries from around the world. You would be
provided training on the use of black powder firearms
and be eligible to participate in a musket shooting
team. As a member you are one of a special select
group of militiamen, dedicated to the protection of our
Rhode Island history and the right to bear and keep
arms.
